Beatrice Cointreau – CEO, By BC
Great-granddaughter of the Cointreau founder liquor founder and granddaughter of the founder of Rémy Martin, Béatrice Cointreau was born into a long line of wine-makers and distillers. With a Masters in law, a degree in marketing and a MBA from Cornell University – Johnson Graduate School of Management, she completed her studies at the Bordeaux Institute of Oenology. After working in advertising with the Havas Group she joined Cognac Frapin aged 24. A few years later, she became the General Manager and immediately after became the CEO of Champagne Gosset. With her teams, Béatrice Cointreau developped the brand’s international reputation and scope by creating many new, prestigious wines. More than merely improving results, Béatrice Cointreau moved her brands forward in over 120 diverse markets (emerging, growing and saturated). This success forged her global understanding of current socio-cultural practices. Today, she is using her 25 years of experience in wine, spirits and gastronomy to pass on her expertise and guide companies as they face different challenges. Between Shangai, Cognac and Los Angeles, she travels the world, using each port of call to promote French art de vivre, and contributing to France’s international reputation.
