Flore Kanmacher – Corporate Lawyer & Partner, Gerard Fox Law
I am a partner and the Head of the Corporate Group at Gerard Fox Law where I advise funds, private investors, business owners, CEOs & senior management of companies at all stages of growth in areas of corporate law and international business, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and international trade and transactions.
I earned my BA in International Studies, summa cum laude from Saint Louis University & my JD from UCLA’s School of Law as a Corporate Law Program graduate.
A French native, I’m fluent in French and English and have had the opportunity to study at several notable French universities before moving to the US. As a result I have a strong background in counseling foreign clients with respect to their operations in the US, as well as US clients regarding their operations abroad.
I began my career with Mayer Brown in 2004 and practiced at the Los Angeles office of Perkins Coie before joining Gerard Fox Law. For the past decade I’ve maintained a robust pro bono practice representing underprivileged individuals and charitable initiatives and organizations in LA. I’ve gained considerable experience in the formation and operation of nonprofit and tax-exempt entities, including M&A transactions. I also serve as a Board Member and the General Counsel, Vice President and Secretary of the French-American Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles, a nonprofit organization which I co-founded in 2013.
At Gerard Fox Law, I routinely serve as outside general counsel to emerging and mature companies, and represent strategic and financial buyers and sellers in domestic and multinational M&A transactions involving public and private companies. My experience crosses a number of industries, including biotech, internet, technology, social media, manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, retail, food and beverage, hospitality, education and entertainment.
